Speaker Or Gallery View On Mac Skype For Business

Topic Last Modified: 2017-05-03

  1. On the lower-left side of the Skype for Business main window and choose a device from Select Primary Device. Check your Audio Device Settings. On the lower-left side of the Skype for Business main window, choose Audio Device Settings. Adjust the volume control under selected Microphone and check that, when speaking normally, at least one-third.
  2. There should at least be an option to set the default preferred starting mode for Speaker/Gallery/Content mode. Right now the default mode is always Speaker, which will obliterate any presentation shared. As in a business context, presentation sharing is the prime mode of interaction for S4B when in a call, there should be a way to make “Content” the default.
  3. The Gallery view is not available in Skype for Business. I totally understand how nice it would be to get the Gallery view in Skype for Business. Given the situation, I suggest you vote on the feedback below to push the related team to work on it.

In meetings where some participants are joining by audio only, their default profile picture or meeting room phone profile will appear in the Gallery view. In meetings with many participants this makes the video quite hard to see (because it gets too small). Is there a way to hide the default profile pictures in the Gallery view, and keeping only the participants joining by video or even.
